Wedding on the Water- A South Florida Yacht kept the Wedding and Party Afloat All Night Long.

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

Lara + Matt | South Beach Lady; Hollywood, Florida

If you are a bride or have been one a bride in at least the last two decades, you've heard, "This is your day!" Lara lived that statement for her entire wedding. She wanted to do things differently and she knew exactly how she wanted them done! It was a breath of fresh air to hear her ideas, schedules, plans, and not only witness her execute all of them, but be there to capture those moments.

Lara and Matt used to the morning to put their finishing touches on their plans, but came back to get ready at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

Lara and Matt insisted to help one another get ready, so they would be starting their first day together as they would be living the rest of their lives; helping one another.

Lara had her wedding dress designed. She knew she wanted blue and unique. The broken glass-like mirrored pieces and matching mirrored earrings were breathtaking.

Matt's custom white and silver camo tailored suit with a white and blue handkerchief and matching bow tie put him in a Miami Chic category of his own. Check out the bottoms of his stunning shoes.

It was like they stepped off the pages of Vogue.

With her guests' experience in mind, She and Matt decided to have their wedding ceremony and reception on The South Beach Lady, a yacht that sails out of Hollywood, Florida down to Miami along the inter-coastal waterway. She wanted to keep the guests in the open air as much as possible, so she opted for cocktail hour, ceremony, and guest receiving to all be in the same space. She didn't want her guests to be without a drink in hand or the choice to smell the salty air or feel the fresh coastal breezes. Cocktail tables were brought to the ceremony space so the party could begin as soon as anyone boarded the ship.

Matt entered the ceremony first along side the captain, who was officiating their ceremony. Then it was time for Lara, who was escorted by her father. They joined each other at the stern of the yacht for their ceremony.

With complete joy and without reservation, they became husband and wife!

From this moment on, it was a complete celebration!

Live music and a DJ kept their guests partying all night long! Dinner was served below deck- no toasts, no downtime, but as soon as it was over, there was a wardrobe change and back to dancing until the ship came back to dock!

Congratulations Matt and Lara, it has been a pleasure and honor to know you both. The world is a whole lot more fun with the two of you in it! May you always bring joy to each other!
